Community foundation team leaders from Michigan, Indiana and Ohio are invited to join CompassPoint’s CEO, Jeanne Bell, author of three books on nonprofit finance and sustainability including The Sustainability Mindset (to be published October 2014) for a hands-on, team-based sustainability clinic. Teams of 2-4 leaders from each foundation will spend the day together doing the work of defining sustainability in your context, analyzing the strengths and weakness of their current business model, and outlining key decisions that need to be made to deepen their foundation’s impact and financial health. By design, this clinic may not be attended by a single participant; only teams may participate to ensure that critical work gets done and a cohort of leaders bring a shared analysis and identified next steps back to their foundations. All attendee teams will get support in using the business model analysis tool called the Matrix Map, which is central to Jeanne’s books and approach, to create a customized, visual analysis of their current business model. Participants will also receive a copy of the new book with registration materials)
